The same text is available inside the app, from the My Page screen.
1. Stored only on your device — the items you register, purchase history, photos, memos, and notification settings. As long as you don't use sharing or backup, none of this ever leaves your device. However, the URL alone, when you tap a product link, is sent for service improvement purposes as described in Paragraph 3(3).
2. Saved to the server when you use sharing or backup — item names, product links, photos, memos, stores, purchase cycles, purchase history, the display name you set, and, if you authenticate with Apple or Google, your email address. Items you set to “Only visible to me” are not shown to the people you share with.
3. Sent for service improvement purposes — the following, and nothing else.
(1) Attached to every record: a device-generated identifier, your device's region setting, your device's language setting, your OS type, the app version, and the date and time recorded.
(2) Records of actions: app launches, completing the consent screen, the time taken until your first item registration, tapping “Not yet,” changes to notification settings (how many days ahead to notify you), purchase records (purchase cycle and how far off the prediction was), and manually editing a purchase cycle.
(3) When you tap a product link: the full URL of the product link registered to the item and its domain, and the screen and placement where the link was tapped. Depending on the seller's site, a product link's URL may include the item's name. Even for items set to “Only visible to me,” the same information is sent when you tap the product link.
We never send the item name, memo, photo, display name, email address, location, or contacts themselves.
The usage data sent under Article 1, Paragraph 3 is used to improve the app, improve notification and prediction accuracy, and improve the product link experience. It is not used to identify individuals. Sent records are linked only to a device-generated identifier, and are never linked to an account or a name. Except for the email address used when you use sharing or backup, we never store any personally identifiable data in our database.
When you use a feature that requires the server (AI-based item name recognition, sharing), we create an anonymous account that does not include your name or email address.
Only when you use backup or a device-transfer handoff do we authenticate you with an Apple or Google account. At that time, we store your email address to identify your account and carry out the handoff. If you choose Apple's “Hide My Email,” we store the forwarding address Apple issues, and your actual email address never reaches us. We do not collect your name or profile photo. We never use your email address to send announcements or promotions.
We never provide or sell the information we collect to third parties. Once you leave the app for an external site via a product link, that site's own privacy policy applies.
The sending described in Article 1, Paragraph 3 continues on an ongoing basis to the extent necessary to improve this app. What we send is limited to the items listed in Article 1, Paragraph 3, and never includes the item name, memo, photo, display name, location, or contacts themselves. We don't offer a setting to individually turn off this sending. If you don't want this data sent, please stop using this app and delete it.
If you stop sharing, the data on the server is deleted. If you delete the app, all data on your device is lost. Accounts and their data that have gone unused for 12 months or more are deleted under Article 7 of the Terms of Service. Purchase history and similar records are deleted 3 years after being recorded (Article 8 of the Terms of Service).
